Secours populaire invited by Veolia
Once again this year, Secours populaire is taking part in the Open Occitanie. Invited by Veolia, one of the tournament’s main partners, the charity has taken up residence in the village, in an area made available by the company. Cake sales, tombolas, solidarity snacks, oral hygiene awareness workshops, not to mention welcoming young children from underprivileged neighbourhoods to attend Wednesday’s matches… the volunteers have not been idle! The team also talk to the public about the various initiatives run by Secours Populaire throughout the year. Well done to them!
Regional Cancer Institute
The ICM is celebrating its centenary this year at the Open Occitanie. The ICM offers a unique model of personalised care of the highest quality. The Institute develops preventive health programmes and initiatives with the aim of reducing the number of cancers. Research is fundamental: the Institute provides a better understanding of cancer and improves overall patient care and quality of life. You can meet the ICM throughout the week of the Open Occitanie on their stand in the corridors! You’ll be able to buy balls and goodies: everything goes to cancer research!
